How to take people under your wing

2. Here's an idea
'Fortune magazine (11 November 2002) introduced several of Warren Buffett’s protégés who provided insights into ‘the Oracle of Omaha’s’ mentoring skills. Their list included:
- regular one-on-one communication
- availability to act as a sounding board for new ideas
- clearly stated expectations
- continuing support.
3. Don't forget
The best mentors do not solve problems for their protégés. They help the protégés solve the problem themselves by asking them four questions:
- What is the cause of the problem?
- What are your going to do to fix it?
- How will you know when you’ve fixed it?
- In what way can I help? …
