Go to the library; do a web search for articles; talk to industry experts; find books on the subject. Absorb - then make your expertise known. You’ll be surprised how fast people (including your superiors) start coming to you for advice. Your stature in the organisation will increase tremendously, and it won’t do your career any harm either.
