How to maintain improved performance
1. Quotable quote
"Employees today want bosses who act naturally rather than inspirationally, bosses who treat them as responsible adults.
Unfortunately, there are still managers who feel they must constantly rekindle fires in their employees. Picture the manager who is always 'up', booming confidence that all is well and going to get better if we all perform even better. No one believes it. It’s not a caring, realistic, person-to-person way of communicating."
2. Here's an idea
Help your staff get in touch with themselves. Set aside time for them to talk through their frustrations together and to look at them-selves on paper. By asking them to complete a self-assessment worksheet in a nonthreatening environment and focus on how they slice up their time, your employees can gain new insight about them-selves and their roles. When they realise that many of their fellow employees have similar problems, they are encouraged to seek solutions together.
3. Viewpoint
"Where we cannot create we can at least improve." …
